The Dutch consumer eats 89 kilograms of potatoes per person per year, of which 53 kilograms are fresh table stock potatoes. So the potato is on the menu a lot and has to be of excellent quality. Almost a third of the potatoes bought by Dutch consumers in the supermarket are Landjuweel potatoes and we are proud of it. Daily contacts with our clients and suppliers allow us, as a potato chain, to deliver a good product.

‘Landjuweel system’
Our basic assumption is that the potato should go through the distribution channel smoothly, so that the consumer stays satisfied and our buyers have a good yield.

Therefore, ensuring quality and food safety are necessary. We work according to the ‘Landjuweel system’. The ‘Landjuweel system’ establishes the manner in which the processes within our company are controlled and ensured. This is a natural way of working to us and meets the strict international conditions and certification requirements. A Landjuweel potato is entirely traceable, as far back as to the plot they originate from.

A link in the chain
Landjuweel wants to be a controlling link in the chain. We think along with the buyer about the presentation of the product, improving its image or developing new concepts to meet the consumer's expectation.
